Today the majority of seniors want to stay in their own homes, and as a community it is something we should all encourage, if it can be done safely and successfully. Sometimes that means downsizing from a larger family home into a more manageable space, especially if extensive home modifications would otherwise be necessary. Other times it means moving into assisted living or similar housing.
